I still remember the little unsure girl I used to be 10 years ago, when I left my small francophone home town to move to Montreal. I spoke very basic English and could barely understand English conversations, I just had my general D.E.C., fell in love with the wrong guy and could barely manage by myself.

Since the past 10 years, I achieved to obtain my B.Sc., made a M.Sc. in English on HIV drug resistance, learnt to drive, acquired my very own car and am able drive anywhere, visited 9 countries, took the plane for the first time and alone, took the TGV, been naked in public in 3 countries, started working for a small biotech that became part of a huge pharma, discovered tea and the famous renowned Wazuqu teapots, went to numerous really good shows, started learning macro photography, pushed my basic knitting knowledge further, learned how to make soaps, started learning the piano, discovered other cultures and opened myself to them, learned to use Linux and do not want to revert to the Micro$oft world, constructively recovered from a long-term relationship separation, am living in a place I like and that is mine, went from having only French Canadian friends to friends from all sorts of places around the world, voluntered in an animal shelter for 5 years, where I found my two wonderful cats and learned lots about vet cares, among other things.

Now what? I am bored. Despite the fact that it may seem a lot of achievements for a decade of life, it's been 2 years that life has been plateauing, except for the occasionnal excitements. I know, I could have done like lots of people and like some of our suburban friends from remote holes (in the same style as St-Roch-de-l'Achigan) who look at us Montrealers as inferior human beings because we don't have a house, we don't find placenta and lawnmowers conversations to be a profund source of pleasure and we are not making babies as we speak. I could have bought a house, gotten pregnant many times, but that wouldn't be me. I would have gotten bored way way much quicker this way.

I am tickled by the thought of driving like the English do, on the left side of the road while sitting on the right of the car, learning their accent and be able to blend in as if I were from there, experiencing the English tea time, visiting castles, visiting the breathtaking places that UK has, being where great music happens, visiting Manchester, Liverpool, Cornwall and many more, getting to know more the Welsh people (I have a tremendous affection for them. They are my favorite people), visiting more Europe, managing by myself in a totally different country than Canada. And also, I am tickled with the dream of being loved for the first time...

Vacations bits!

How could be a better way to start vacations rather than with 2 T-bones? I don't know any. 8-D~

Yesterday, I had tea as if there will be no tomorrow with [livejournal.com profile] sfllaw. :-) Great conversations and party ideas occured, but no sleep. That's what happens when two night owls and tea maniacs meet. ;-)

Tonight, as I was walking home from my piano lesson, I happened to meet my bio geek acquaintance whom I never stop to meet randomly all accross Montreal. Weird! We had a nice conversation and I think that we're now convinced that we're bound to fall on one another. ;-) Life is crazy!

Not much is actually determined for the rest of the week so I will welcome any ideas from anywhere, including my crazy impulsions!

What day are we? I spent two days off work and just spent last night without sleeping, except for the short nap this afternoon. My schedule is now officially screwed up!

Luckily, as I was walking along the Parc Lafontaine before reaching the hospital, I had the opportunity to take shots of a female squirrel that wanted to pose for me... ;)
