As my brother very well pointed, there is no garage at my mom's place, but we decided to do as if. :-) This type of event usually allows me to get rid of quite a good amount of crap. I decided to take part of it this time, so to give a hand to my mom after all the emotions and stress we went throught related to my grand-father's surgery. I got to spend some time with my cousin who got the garage sale frenzy and while I am in St-Hyacinthe, why not obtain some sweet, juicy, delicious, tasty, soft and smoochie syrup donuts? 8-D~~~ I used to eat those when I was a kid and now within 24 hours, I ate almost a dozen of them! Couldn't... stop.... having.... more.... well, until you're on the verge of feeling sick. :-)

The black one in front of my mom's isn't easily seduced as he is running away from anyone. Not only he was letting my cousin petting him, but he would cross the street on several occasions to turn around her to obtain some more!

Garage sale is the occasion to remember that you own stuff you want to forget about, so you want to sell god dammit in order to get back to forgetting. The item on your right is one of them. I acquired this beautiful wig for a gino Halloween costume. And yes, I sold that wig. :-D

Yay! I found my cat! Oups! I repeat myself!

Yay! I'll be on vacations starting Friday night! Woohoo! My plans? Photo, photo, photo and hmmm photo! I mean, that was the plan when I bought the delicious lenses I procured myself with. Add to this: plenty of sleep, availability to meet friends, have tea (could be combined. Not sleep and friends, but tea and friends!), meeting new people if that is offered to me, reading and a walk/ photo shooting on the Mt-Royal. I am open for any exciting addition to my current list of activities. Maybe I should add a BBQ in the list... Anybody in?

Yay! My grand-father will leave the hospital tomorrow morning. Besides the post-surgery complications, he healed and progressed really quickly. Witnessing how extraordinarily in shape he is at 83,  made me think a lot. I mean, he didn't need any drugs before the age of 80 and that is because of his first angina crisis. Most people who get a triple bypass surgery aren't that old (maybe 50-60) and they are more damaged than my grand-father. His great shape is attributable to him being very active and jogging all his life. Last July, when he went for his arterial dilation, it made me realize that I should lift my lazy ass and start shaking it more vigourously. I never found any serious source of motivation for working out, but there, I found it. Seeing live what  exercice can do to you in the long run has been the best inertia breaker I could have imagined. Oh, that and the fact that it really improves your sexual life, of course! ;-) And so I did start to work out and I gotta admit, it feels better than I thought.

And tonight, I am watching a Japanese Samuraï gay thriller. :-D

Tonight, I want to do something rather unusual. I want to pay homage to the man who played the most significant role in my life and also the geek model who guided me through my geekiness evolution: my grand-father. (unfortunately, I don't have a digital picture of him)

He has always been very welcoming and generous with the new comers to his house. He was always very aware of what is going on in terms of knowledge, he would talk about any technical subject with the visitors. He represented the stable, strong and devoted leader of the family. This retired math teacher (geek!) always knew how to program his VCR! He is the person behind who I am today and I owe him so much.

I want you all to send positive energy to him because this Wednesday, he is undergoing an open-heart surgery: a triple bypass operation. I will spend the day at Hôpital Notre-Dame, to be there for him. Thank you.
